The Department of Medical Staff Services provides information and services for the professional staff of Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, California.  Services include physician credentialing for Mission Hospital and CHOC.

Scope of Services

Medical Staff Services provides administrative support for the medical staff in their performance of various functions to include the following: credentialing for initial medical and allied health staff appointment and reappointment; credentialing for clinical privileges; continuous credentialing; medical group (Mission Medical Group) support for managed care applications and provider numbers; maintenance of a professional staff database; support for the credentials and executive committees of the medical staff and the Practitioner Assessment Committee of the Board of Directors; implementation of corrective action and the hearing process for the medical staff; and activities of the Institutional Review Board. Services are provided for Mission Hospital.
